Legal Experince

Prior to joining Ponist Law Group, Samantha worked as an associate attorney with another law firm in San Diego where she established a solid background in litigation. Prior to that, Samantha, among other things, externed for Judge Christopher B. Latham in the United States Southern District Bankruptcy Court.

Samantha has over four years of experience in civil litigation, from the initial filing of a complaint through preparation for trial. She has represented clients in real estate, construction defect, insurance bad faith, and financial elder abuse. She has brought motions to compel further discovery and handled motions for summary judgment with favorable outcomes. She also has experience in the appeal of a construction defect class action.

Academic Background

Samantha earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. During law school, she was Articles Editor of the school’s Law Review, where she performed reviews of academic legal articles. Prior to law school, Samantha attended UCLA, where she majored in Economics and minored in Philosophy.
